In the video, Estepp expressed, “Noah Gragson may be on the hot seat. According to people with direct knowledge of internal discussions at Legacy Motors, Noah Gragson could be replaced by John Hunter Nemechek at the end of this season. Few teams have gone through changes as Legacy Motor Club has in recent years from Maury Gallagher and GMS buying into Richard Petty Motorsports then Jimmie Johnson and company into Petty GMS.”

“The rebrand and more changes are on the horizon with Legacy Motor Club switching from Chevrolet to Toyota in time for next season. The Athletic reporting that Gargson could be out and John Hunter Nemechek who races a Toyota in the NASCAR Xfinity Series could be in.”

“John Hunter Nemechek is a very good driver, he’s got a full year of Cup Series experience, he dropped back down to the Camping world now Craftsman Truck Series. He won 7 races across the past two seasons with Kyle Busch Motorsports, this year was promoted to the Xfinity Series where he is tied for the series lead, with 4 wins on the year,” Estepp added.

However, it’s not just Nemechek that could land the opportunity of graduating to the superior series of NASCAR, but also Carson Hocevar. The Niece Motorsports driver in the Truck Series has already seized two victories along with six top 5 finishes in the ongoing season. The young driver had also tried his hands in NASCAR’s elite series when he substituted Corey LaJoie in Gateway.

Hocevar would have surely delivered an admirable result, had it not been for a mechanical failure that put a premature end. Nevertheless, the team that seems to be at the forefront is Spire Motorsports. As reported by The Athletic he holds the possibility of replacing Ty Dillon in the next season.

Hocevar had expressed, “I want to win a championship, and that’s what I’m focused on[…] I’m going to continue to win races and race like I don’t have a job (beyond this year). This is the only priority I got right now.”

With the teams laying the roadmap for the upcoming seasons, it will be interesting to see how many new faces will make their debut while others being sidelined in the Cup Series.
