Overturned dump truck causes closure of Memorial Pkwy lanes at Mastin Lake

HUNTSVILLE, Ala (WHNT) — The southbound lanes of Northwest Memorial Parkway are back open after a shutdown earlier in the day due to a turned-over dump truck according to Huntsville Police Department (HPD).

HPD said as of 4:55 p.m. the Southbound lanes of Memorial Parkway were closed down at Mastin Lake Road. The department said all lanes of Memorial Parkway were back open by 8:01 p.m.

Authorities are encouraging drivers to use alternate routes.

A New 19 crew is heading to the scene to gather more information. Updates will be provided as they become available.
