Police looking for tractor

The New Jersey State Police have asked for the public’s help in finding a tractor-trailer accused of striking a box truck on the New Jersey Turnpike earlier this week and leaving the scene of the fatal crash.

The 25-foot white Isuzu box truck was traveling north in the truck lane of the highway on Wednesday around 10:45 p.m. in East Brunswick when it was struck by the tractor-trailer near milepost 78.8, according to a release from the State Police.

The box truck was hit on its driver side door and its driver, 78-year-old Giuseppe Zuccarello of Whitestone, New York, died in the crash, police said.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or had any additional information is asked to contact the Troop “D” Criminal Investigations Office at 732-441-4500 ext. 4424.
